Description

Do you experience communication difficulties or misunderstandings with your peers, manager or supervisor? Can you speak assertively to deliver clear messages and maintain relationships? Are you aware of your conflict style and how to respond to issues effectively?

This workshop focusses on effective communication and conflict resolution skills. We will identify and develop strategies to manage common communication issues, particularly in the supervisory relationship. You will explore your conflict resolution style and develop an understanding of how to manage conflict effectively. In this workshop you will:

  • Recognise personal factors impacting on your communication with others
  • Develop an understanding of communication styles and assertive communication strategies
  • Identify your conflict resolution style and conflict management skills
  • Practice clear messaging to facilitate positive communication and relationships.

This workshop will be presented by Dr Shari Walsh, Developer and Facilitator of Resilient Researcher; Psychologist and Career Development Practitioner, Growth Psychology, Brisbane.
